Delicious. I had crab cakes and my husband had filet mignon. Great chowder to start. Scallops with sweet chili glaze too. Very good. Wine well priced. Lovely dining room. Rob, the waiter is charming and knowledgeable. Even veg sides were well prepared. Great yeast rolls too. Other diners seemed happy. Mostly an adult crowd.

We were just there this past Saturday evening. We tried the "bar" side (we are more bar-types than sit-down table types) and were pleased to see that there were a few hightop tables available. The service was great, the house Merlot was fine (to me, I'm not a wine snob) and the meal was great. We had the steak kabobs and the scallops and shrimp over pasta, and started with a shared appetizer of the crab/artichoke dip/spread. If I was a whiner, I'd say that the dip was only OK, and the pasta dish could have maybe had some fresh parmesan on top. But the kabobs were perfect, and we were really happy with the experience. It's possible that the ambiance there, which I guess is supposed to be like an English pub, may not suit a vacationer in mid-summer, but for a chilly March evening it was cozy and perfect.

Food was great. Served a little too fast for my liking.

We, my husband and my two friends, ate their twice while on our five day vacation. The food is memorable- because you remember how good it was. The best shrimp and clam chowder we ever ate. Service is excellent and although parking is a bit difficult, it is so worth it! Enjoy

oh gosh no. This restaurant made me decide that I am never placing any emphasis or expectation on my dinner during a vacation again ever. I'm going to bring cans of soup and heat them up at the hotel and walk around or drink somewhere. I suppose if you live around here you have no choice and probably know what is disgusting and what is bearable but this was just horrible. I can't believe they still charged me for my 1 mussel removed mussel dish. The service was weird. Nothing was worth mention. Mussels tasted like rubber cement drenched in pesto (and pesto isn't even in the description??)

Excellent restaurant. Family owned, really nice people.

Fantastic! Love this place! Were we short on time so we headed to the bar instead of standard dining. We were greeted by one the waiters who was able to seat us within 15 min. We both ordered soft shell crabs- I went with tempora soft shell (perfect serving - one crab w/corn salsa). Hubby ordered jumbo soft shell crab with wild rice and broccoli. Totally loved it. Great service and so yummy food!

Ate there for the first time this year at the beach. Chowder is wonderful. Steak was great also. Went to the bar on another night it was busy but enjoyable. Go to the beach every year and now this is going to be a yearly stop. A little pricey but food that is worth the cost. Can't say that about many places at the shore.

Once again, Nantuckets impresses! The servers and bartenders are amazing, as is the food. The duck salad is great and the wine selection very good. Great place! We prefer the bar side as opposed to the dining room.

Great service and my two favs; clean beach cottage look and quality of cuisine. I just hope they can keep it going. I'll always be visiting this little quaint restaurant.

So good that I had to return the following day for dinner. Last night's lobster shepherd's pie was wonderful. Tonight I had the vegetable crab soup and the lobster arugula salad and let me tell you the salad is a perfect blend of lobster, red onion, chèvre, and arugula with a lemon vinaigrette that holds it all together without overwhelming. I may be here again tomorrow!

Nantuckets came to our rescue after calling several restaurants on a sat night to be told there was an hour and 30min+ waits. We told them we could be there in 15min and they were able to hold a table for us. The atmosphere is nautical, cape may beach house with a slight fancier flare. Dishes were overpriced and the food was okay. I ended up getting the lobster mac and cheese and my boyfriend the salmon salad. Def would go again, but next time will try different dishes.

  • Lucy M.

The atmosphere was lively and a crowded. There was very little room to wait for a table. This would be fine in the summer because you could wait outside. We dined in the spring and it was too cold to wait outside. We made reservations, but it took 30 minutes to seat us. The service was really poor across the board- hostess to waitress. I'm giving this 3 stars because the food was very tasty. The menu had a lot of yummy options. Overall, the food was pricey, but worth it. It's a shame the service was not as good as the food. I expected more from this restaurant.

We went here for happy hour. Nice choices, Good prices, interesting mix of people, difficult parking. Upon a valued recommendation (from my Mom!) I got the Tenderloin and Brie Paninni "Grilled bistro tenderloin, sherried mushrooms and onions, and french brie" came with chips at a great price. Umm WOW.... it was delish. Couldn't finish it and it reheated for lunch like a dream. Quirky atmosphere. Server was pleasant but a little terse & "know it all" But maybe he was having a bad day. Bar Tables were small and the chairs not too comfy, I guess next time we'll sit at the bar. That looked like fun! Get here early, pray for a parking space, and check out this gem in the heart of Fenwick Island!

Very impressed with themselves! Food ok. Claim to have the best crabcake. A B+ at best. Hands down best crab cake is Koko's in baltimore. My standard by which all crabcake are measured! The best flan ever.

Great place to hang out at the bar and grab lunch or dinner. The decor is something you'd expect from a place called Nantucket. I'm no expert in seafood but I do know a thing or two about crab cakes. The crab no cake is what it's called and lives up to its name! Also there was this pasta I ate that was buttery deliciousness. I would think if I lived in Maine, this place would be there. Service is always great and almost all their food here is good. The Good: - crab no cakes, pastas - great service, nice bar The Bad: - long waiting time during dinner but you can go to the bar to wait The Ugly: - nothing ugly about this place. A sure go to spot for happy hour and good ol grubbing

We usually dine here are first night of vacation. We are rarely disappointed. Seafood is fresh, steaks are delicious, and service is stellar. Family loves the chowdah but it is a huge portion! Last night Mike waited on us and his service was the Best... His special recommendations were on point... We even got an early bird special discount! I guess there is a first time for everything....

"Nice place to eat, Dreadful trying to park your car" Atmosphere is a little off and weird for my liking. It's like stepping back into the past when you walk in here very old worldy vibe. Really good waiters/waitresses and decent food. A little expensive for what it is but it's ok. Portions are on the small side so savour every bite and chew well so you are satiated! I had the steak and rice with steamed broccoli. I'm not really a fan of steamed veg as there really is not much flavour for me, I would much rather have sauteed. Also the rice or potato choices are really plain tasting. I like a bit more zest and seasoning in my food. We have been here 4-5 times as my wife does enjoy but I am not a huge fan. The worst part is trying to find parking in season it is a nightmare!

An excellent meal! My wife had the pork prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes and I had the 2 crab cake dinner. Both tasted awesome. I also had the scallop apetizer in a sweet type of soy sauce with snap peas. No complaints. We didn't have reservations, but they were able to seat us within 5 min of arriving. I wouldn't recommend trying this but make reservations ahead of time as this is a very busy restaurant. Service was slow but the meal made up for it. Highly recommend.

Dropped into the bar area with a group a guys after golfing. Everyone enjoyed their meals (ranging from more standard bar fare to the dining room entrees & house specials), the service was quick, and the price was reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Great food; attentive and knowledgeable service (Thanks Cathy!); and a nice atmosphere. Our group of 7 (including 4 kids) had an excellent dinner. We will definitely come back.

First time back in about 3 years. The chowder which used to be their signature dish was thin watery and filled with flakes of green herb. Two in our party ordered the rockfish which turned out to be dry and tasteless. I had the crab cake entree which was supposed to be Delaware's best in 2014. They were dry and one of them had fallen apart on the plate but was served anyhow. The broccoli was served thin, stringy and it was cold.. The bread was a doughy roll that was apparently bought from the supermarket. Our server seemed to be in a hurry to do something else even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Used to be a good restaurant too bad it has changed I won't be back.

During my visit to NR, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and quality of service. This restaurant is located on the main drag, in the Ocean City, MD area...just across the DE state line. I ordered the lamb with veggies/potatoes, and a domestic beer. The quality of the meat was very good. The lamb was seasoned and cooked to perfection and the veggies were fresh and well prepared. This is a premier eatery in the OC area. The setting and interior is classic, clean, and beautiful. There's a classy dining area, and a large vintage bar, with additional tables in the bar area. Though I didn't partake, the drink menu is vast and caters to the discerning lover of the grape... I strongly suggest dining here, especially if you're treating your spouse/lover... Very classy, romantic location...but, is still casual enough for a business celebratory dinner, or scotch tasting... Solid four-star spot!

We were seated in a separate room that was very romantic. Fresh flowers and an nice lamp on the table. The service was very good and my wife and I enjoyed our meals (Shrimp ka bobs for her Crab cakes for me) I am told the soft shell crab is excellent there....when we go back , next year. that is what I will get. Great place and for the time we were at the beach...our TOP RESTAURANT!

  • Lou K.

Love this place. Go and ask to be in Susie's section. Then eat the soft shell crabs. So good. This is one of the few spots that take reservations, so go ahead, stay on the beach late, show up and enjoy yourself. Maybe come early and have a cocktail on the bar next door or better yet stay late and have a night cap

So tonight, we went to a favorite with the added bonus of the $19.95 special. All was wonderful until we noted that four tables near us came, ate, and went....and still our simple steaks had not arrived. We asked, we're told a large order came in. So how come lobster macaroni and another steak arrived? Ultimately the manager came, apologized, offered no excuse other than to say that they were wrong ( absolutely the right thing to do) and that they would comp our meal. Initially we said no, after all, we did (finally) eat it ,but did accept. Will we ever go back? Of course, because the food is wonderful, and they made a mistake, rectified it,and with grace and apologies. Class act. Problems do occur: it is how they are handled that makes the difference. They did the right thing, we appreciated that, and we will return .

Was excited to come back and try Nantuckets as it has been quite awhile since my last experience here. It is still quite tasty and worth the price, but has gotten a bit more low-key than I remembered it being. The dining rooms were nice, although I did not think the Water for Chocolate movie poster in one of the dining rooms was particularly appealing. I had the caesar salad, lobster mac and cheese, and crab cakes. Everything was delicious as usual! This has been one of the longer staying places at the beach, and with good reason. There are not really many other restaurants in the area that compare.

My wife and I were here this past weekend for our anniversary dinner, our first visit to Nantucket's in a few years. Overall, it was a very nice meal but there were some hits and misses. Service: Our waiter was excellent. His descriptions of the specials were informative and the timing between courses was perfect. Appetizers: The weakness here was in sauces and dressings. My wife ordered the caesar salad. She said the Romaine lettuce seemed soggy as if it had been sitting in the dressing for too long. I had the shrimp and grits, which featured nice plump prawns and a very tasty cheddar grits cake, but the kitchen needed a lighter touch with the "Cajun sauce." Entrees: Here, the service and kitchen preparations went to extremes. I order my steak EXTREMELY rare. The New York strip that came to our table was medium-rare. Our waiter took one look at it after I had cut into the middle and insisted on taking it back to the kitchen and bringing me another. The second time around, it was cooked perfectly and the accompanying garlic mashed potatoes were superb. My wife ordered the salmon, which she greatly enjoyed, and the redskin potatoes, which never arrived! Dessert: We shared the bananas foster bread pudding, which was generous with mixed berries but had absolutely no taste of bananas foster. Again, it was a very pleasant dinner with excellent, conscientious service, but a little too much sloppiness from the kitchen.

service was good, atmosphere was relaxed and the food was good. Just a bit of advice, wasn't much flavor. Don't know if its because people complain of too much seasoning or not. But we will be back.

My wife and I stopped in here on the recommendation of a local while we were on vacation for our tenth anniversary. We called ahead for a reservation and they seated us immediately when we arrived! The food was very good and the service was well done. I ordered the salmon and my wife has the strip steak. Both were cooked to our liking. The ambiance is "unique". Not really fancy and not casual. It's like a really nice restaurant with three stooges posters on the wall. I'd recommend it for a night out with another couple and stay for an evening walk on the beach.

Our new favorite place to eat while down at the beach. The atmosphere is nice and the food was delicious! The scallop appetizer was fantastic as well as the filet for our main course. Our new go to while visiting the beach!

  • Marita C.

Our dinner was delightful! We had the scallops appetizer which is chef's choice. Ours was a take on the BLT with seared scallops, cross cut bacon, and heirloom tomatoes. We shared the field of greens salad and the summer gazpacho. The salad had maple vinaigrette and Stilton cheese. Wow! It was a wonderful combination. The crab cake entree was phenomenal. They were made of fresh lump crab and very little else! We also had the fillet mignon which had a delicious crust of cheese and herbs with a berry sauce. We will definitely go back again and again.

My wife and I love this restaurant and make it our go to place for special occations, but recently and I mean, as of this evening were met with a rather pompose individual , bordered on rude when attempting to make the required resevation. I was put on hold by three persons. Each of which said, "Please Hold" and left me on the phone for 10/15 minutes. This is unheared of in the restaurant business. Perhaps your employee needs to have a refresher course in proper phone etiquette. This was real disappointment. I hope it does not reoccur.

Good place to have a nice bar/tavern dinner at a place that can actually mix a good drink (rarity at the beach)

We go here annually since it's a nice restaurant that still somehow manages to be good for well-behaved children. The menu has stayed pretty much the same for years, as has the quality of the food. The wine list definitely needs some help, but we were told that it's getting a refresh soon - will look forward to that on our next visit. Their salads are really delish here, and you'll almost never find me saying that. Soft shell crabs and rack of lamb are also consistently good it seems. Give it a try for dinner. It's not cheap, but it's also not over the top expensive either.

There are many good things to say about this restaurant: awesome crabcakes, a wonderful avocado appetizer, and lovely decor among them. I would go back just for the avocado appetizer--a half avocado topped with a crab salad, surrounded by guacamole and aioli sauce; it is fantastically delicious. However, there were some shortcomings. First, our server was incredibly friendly and informative but he spent a lot of time telling us why he was busy and not getting to serve us. I think he had too many stations to handle or they were all at the same point in the meal which I know causes logistical challenges. But there were some lackluster aspects of the meal too, especially with the desserts which were good but not great, and I had a particularly watery cup of coffee with my dry cheesecake (ostensibly a key lime cheesecake but it tasted like normal cheesecake to me). I would say that I would be willing to return to Nantuckets based on what they did right, with the hope that the shortcomings were glitches.

We haven't been to Nantuckets in years. So, we decided to stop in this sunday. Reservations are recommended, but they are flexible once you have them. We called at 4 and they let us move ours around a little. We were seated in the big room. It's a little crazy. It's painted this crazy pink-orange and decorated quite eclectically. Which is saying a lot. I'm a decorator and even I think it's a bit strange and not cohesive. However, don't let that distract you! My mother and I shared a wonderful salad of mixed greens, caramelized pecans, dried cranberries and chèvre. We split it, and without even asking they plated it separately for us. My mother has the lamb, which was seasoned so well. It had hints of fresh mint, but was seriously just delicious. I was envious. I was going to get the filet, but I got the crab cakes. However, once you have had the crab cakes at captain galleys really you shouldn't order them anywhere else. Our sides were cooked to perfection. I love al dente string beans! The creme brûlée was excellent, served with some berries and fresh whipped cream. However, my favorite part of the meal was my well executed old-fashioned. It was perfectly muddled. The cherry and orange flavors danced with the bourbon. It seriously was the best ending to the meal and one of the best old-fashioneds I have had in a long time. We will definitely be back

Not sure what happened to my last review of Nantuckets, it appears to have gone missing. I've been a fan of Nantuckets for a few years. The last time I went the food and service was great as expected. The crab/avocado appetizer was VERY good. The crab cakes, the salmon and the cod (special of the day) were all excellent. Highly recommend making reservations, especially during the prime vacation season.

Good ole Nantuckets. Been around for around 20 years and we can always depend on it for good food and great service. Expensive, but at least we know we'll mostly be happy. Love the Quahog Chowdah and their bread is addictive. Last week had the Lobster Tempura, yummy, and cooked perfectly. Hubby had a lamp chops, happy. The wait staff is among the best at the beach, which I so appreciate. They actually SERVE you, by putting the plates DOWN on the table, imagine that... No.... "Who get's the..." and hand you a hot plate. Worth the money. Beware crowded bar, terrible parking situation, (took us 15 minutes to get a spot), and be sure to make a reservation.

My husband and I have been coming here for about 6 years and it had never disappointed me. The kitchen is consistent and the product is of great quality every single time. I have ordered mostly everything on the menu and have never had a bad meal. I know this review is breif but that's because it is simply a really great restaurant with quality food and good service.

We just closed on a home in Fenwick Island and wanted to have a celebratory dinner. A friend recommended Nantuckets. We were greeted warmly. We ate in the main dining area although there is a 'Tap Room' that looked great. I had the mussels as an appetizer and the fish bouillabaisse for dinner. Both were plentiful and excellent. The menu is extensive for fine dining with duck, steak, rack of lamb as well as high end Pub food with burgers lobster Mac and cheese and other comfort food. Our dinners were beautifully presented and well prepared. The evening was greatly enhanced by our server Kate who was charming, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. A wonderful dining experience. We will be back.

This place might actually qualify for 5 stars - but we were there on New Year's Eve and it was clear they placed alot of tables in places they normally wouldn't be. As a result it was a bit cramped and really noisy where we were seated (which was in front of a closed door of all things). I absolutely plan to go again - if the seating situation is better on a non-busy night I'll possibly bump it up - this is one of those cases where I wish Yelp allowed 4.5's. Our experience was terrific but it wasn't UNBELIEVABLE which is what I reserve 5 stars for. ANYWAY - on to food and service... Our waiter was really good considering the number of tables he had to juggle that night. We lucked out with the guy we got (I cannot recall his name) because there was a waitress near us that was really robotic and unenthusiastic. Our guy was nothing like this. Service was an A+ - I tipped 25% - I rarely EVER do that... I'm still in the 15% camp - call me 'old school' lol. More importantly - THE FOOD. They are famous for their Scallop and Quahog chowder (chowda) so I had to try that. I've had SOOO many bad 'chowdas' in my time - it is rare when you find one that is truly spectactular - Nantucket's is - for 9 bucks it better be. Very large portion - probably about 16 oz - loaded with quahogs (cherrystone clams for you inlanders), potatoes, and scallop in a really light (not creamy), milky broth that has a ton of seafood stock in it. Chowders aren't supposed to be cream soups - totally different animal - Nantucket executes this perfectly - and for it being a trademark dish that they must make a billion times a year they obviously have consistency down to a science. Served with a little bit of herbed flatbread and a package of REAL oyster crackers. The only thing that might have put it over the absolute top would have been a shot of sherry. Apparently you can order this stuff online - I'm pulling up that website in another tab as I type... My second course was the Nantucket's Bouillabaisse. Shrimp, sea scallops, neck clams, sweet mussels and the fish du jour simmered in a tomato saffron broth with fresh vegetables with a dollop of Nantucket's homemade aioli. I never did ask what the fish of the day was - it was tasty - I'm guessing Snappr. Served in an actual soup terrine, this seafood stew was also of exceptional quality. The broth was clearly homemade seafood stock - all the seafood was perfectly cooked. It being New Year's Eve I added a 6oz lobster tail for an additional $14. That was a good move! It was one of the best bouillabaisse's I've had - the dishwasher did NOT have to wash the terrine when I was done. My wife got the "Pork Prime Rib" which was an intriguing name - never heard that before. It was actually a huge bone-in pork chop stuffed with proscuitto and provolone. Served with a side of pickled shallots, starch of your choice, and the veg of the day which was asparagus. Wife is VERY picky and actually liked this - but it was cooked medium (as all pork should be now a days) and she didn't care for that - she still thinks pink pork will give you tapeworms or something.... I tried it and it was perfectly cooked - even better around the bone where it was a tad rarer. The grill marks on this thing were stunning - I was really impressed with that myself lol. Nantucket is mostly for seafood lovers - they boast a good crab cake but I'm from Maryland - and only get crab cakes from Edgewater Restaurant in Edgewater MD - once you've had those you don't bother trying any other place as you KNOW you'll be disappointed. We didn't have any cocktails - I bet they're just fine - I did check the wine list and there was a Petite Syrah on it - my favorite varietal - love it when I see those on wine lists. I did have hot tea and the tea service was really cute and formal. We also did not have room for dessert but we saw a few of them and we'll try to save room next time. Everything we saw looked stunning and BIG. The Ocean City area basically STINKS when it comes to fine dining. We can easily add Nantucket to the short likes which includes Frescos, Grove Market, Mickey Finns, and Galaxy. Bring your checkbook - it's pricey - but well worth it - WE WILL BE BACK! Not remotely humbly submitted this day, D. Food Snob, Ph.D.

I found this place on Yelp and went for the great reviews. For me personally, I did not think the food was over the top and it was overpriced for what we got. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was not my taste. We ate in the dining room. There were five of us and all members in the party agreed. Nothing to write home about.

Located right on Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, this place is a gem. It's definitely got more class than most places in OC. Service was almost perfect; I only had to ask for my drink to be refilled once. The crab cakes that I ordered were delicious. The best part? We hit the place on $19 entree night, where all entrees were, you guessed it, $19. My crabcakes would have normally been $29, a bit pricey, but for jumbo lump Maryland crabcakes, it was worth it. Atmosphere is very nice. The art is quite tasteful, the music they have playing in the main dining room is lovely. I would definitely recommend coming here. Definitely not a tourist trap, like most places in OC.

Four of us dined at Nantucket this evening. Oysters Rockefeller were delicious, as were the crab dip and scallops. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable ref the menu I had the bouillabaisse and the seafood was cooked to perfection and very fresh. My companions all had the rockfish and not a bite was left. The asparagus was thin and not over cooked, which is often the case. The wild rice was a bit crunchy. A great experience and will surely go again

Ate here with family in the bar area. Had to move our own table and it took FOREVER to get it cleaned off and set for us, but we only wanted bar-style food so we didn't want to sit in the restaurant. Plus the bar has some great ambiance. Was nervous we made a bad call, but once we finally got service and started ordering everything was fine. The chowda was delicious and my Dad still talks about it occasionally! Everyone was very happy with their meals. The service throughout the whole meal could have been more prompt, but I guess that's what you get for eating in the bar. I would definitely go back for more chowda if I was in town!

Nantucket's is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and presented artfully. The service was great. Attentive without being over intrusive. The weekday off season special Pricing makes this a locals favorite year round My husband's favorite is their signature Quohog Chowder. A must try restaurant!

My Mom and I stopped here at 4:45 on a Wednesday night. We went in to the Tap Room since the Dining Room had a 5 p.m. Opening time. Chatted with the bartender (who told us he was the bar mgr after I asked if he helped create the cocktails/drinks). I had the Scottish Gardener (Hendricks Gin and a Cucumber liqueur, among other delicious additions), and Mom had a Grey Goose tonic. Both cocktails delicious. We were then seated, and informed all entrees, and a special, were prix fixe at $19.00!! I had the special- pan-seared Swordfish (nice portion) on top of a white bean salad, haricot verde (sp?), and 3 roasted cherry tomatoes with seasoned bread crumbs. Mom had the Roast Pork Tenderloin with a blackberry Demi glacé stuffed with Parma Prosciutto, carmelized onions and the green beans. Prior to our meals, we also shared an Arugula, lobster and goat cheese salad with lemon vinaigrette. Everything was delicious!! Would definitely go back! We ended our meals with the Berries and peach cobbler with a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream and coffees. The best meal and beautiful presentations. The ambiance is comfortable and service was great! Yay!!

Easy to get weekend reservations, but the wait staff were overwhelmed and service was very slow. Chowdah, crab stuffed avocado and crabcakes were very good. Lobster mac and cheese had no cheese...wouldn't recommend.

My sister and I both ordered the same dish with mussels. Both meals came with 3 mussels in which two did not open...I unfortunately ate the third - absolute worst mussel ever, may have been in top ten worst things I ever ate. Decor was odd, the room was strangely lit and cramped. Service was mediocre, management was no where to be found. My wife had the shrimp and scallops over pasta, this dish was okay, fairly bland meal. Abundance of places, I cannot recommend this one!

There are not many good places to eat on the Shore, but this qualifies. Hubby and I went for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner. A bunch of lobster specials were featured, and we sampled three! The lobster bisque was delish -- creamy and rich. No chunks of lobster, so it qualifies as a true bisque. Hubby had a lobster tail tempura with veggies appetizer. He loved it, and the portion was huge! If we could do it all again, we probably would have each had a bisque, shared a salad, and had an appetizer, since it looked like all the appetizers were huge. We both had the rock fish and lobster special. Plenty of lobster, but they offered to double the amount for $10 more -- definitely not necessary. The rock fish was fresh, moist, and buttery. The interesting thing about the entree was that the fish and lobster were not coated with sauce or overly seasoned. The seafood stood alone on top of a bed of rice pilaf, mushrooms, and broccolini. I believe this attests to the quality and freshness of the seafood; no need to disguise it! We could barely fit in dessert, but we just had to try the creme brulee. And of course it was yummy, too. Our waiter was very kind, he knew the menu well, and he was able to give suggestions. I always like it when I can ask "What's good tonight", and get an honest, informed answer. The atmosphere was quaint, although I think the tables are too close together. Parking is lousy, but some neighboring businesses are nice enough to let you park in their lots.

We joined friends for dinner who were told by many that Nantucket's was one of their favorite restaurants in Fenwick. I ordered the Quahog and scallop chowder, a signature soup. It was delicious and not heavy like the name would impose. It was more like a bisque and had lots of seafood and was earthy and wholesome, a real must have. I ordered the rockfish entree with spaghetti squash and asparagus. The entire meal was wonderful. The fish was cooked properly and flavored well. The service was the best I've had in a while too. Our server, Bob was attentive, cordial, and professional. This was a great restaurant and worth a repeat. Parking is challenging and it is not where I'd come with kids. It's fine dining and the prices reflect it but if you are after that type of dining experience you won't be disappointed and you'll feel it worth every dollar.

Nantuckets has been and is a constant for the Ocean City Area, I've been dining here for over 20 years and this has always been a favorite, David Twining really knows his stuff. All of the food is of the highest quality so goes the old saying "you get what you pay for" and at Nantuckets, I can most assure you you will leave here happy.

The experience was horrible. The PEI muscles had no flavor. The broth was not seasoned. The veal and lobster main course was ice cold...no seasoning soggy. Bartender was confused and had no clue how to make drinks. The bay scallop special was a joke looked like something Oliver garden would sell.

Our experience at this establishment was a very good one. The place was warm and welcoming. Out waitress was attentive. The food was excellent. It is a bit on the pricey side, so expect that if you choose to visit this restaurant. The only unfavorable thing we found was the parking - there is parking around the restaurant, but the spaces are limited and most people were parked in a haphazard manner. Otherwise, I would give this establishment a full 5 stars. We plan to visit again next year.

We visited during the off-season, so it wasn't too crowded. I had pork prime rib which was very good. My wife really enjoyed the seafood pasta casserole. The only concern was the parking. We will probably go back again when we return during the summer.

First of all, let me say, I usually have enjoyed this restaurant, but tonight's experience was less than stellar. I had the special Nantucket bay scallops and they were over cooked tiny and had absolutely no flavor, then I had the arugula lobster salad and it had no flavor either. i expected the specials to be off the charts, but they were not in the least. The main course was okay, but the spinach had no flavor as well. It's as if many of the items were stored and then just warmed and served. There was also a rude customer who ruined my meal in the bar area, for his sake i hope he was drunk. It took a lot not to address him, but you do not sit down next to a gentleman turned sideways toward another gentleman at the bar and invade his space. Please sit facing forward when you sit at the bar, i am not your girlfriend. Overall, it was a very less than stellar experience.

Most restaurants in Ocean City and Fenwick Island are just bad (steamed buffet food, badly prepared, poor service, masses of diners, etc.). It was nice to go to a real restaurant with linen, caring service, very good food, and a focused menu. It might have been nice to have seen a couple more seafood dishes on the menu. The service was caring but mildly inexperienced (summer staff!).

Went for the first time Thursday night. Our waiter Todd recommended the veal, a fairly new dish with wild rice. My husband had the shrimp and scallop with pesto pasta. Both meals were huge portions that were hot and very tender. Our meals were so good we made reservations the next night. We ordered the lobster Mac n' cheese as an appetizer, not what we expected, lobster bouillabaisse and the ny strip steak, again all excellent. The service was excellent. Overall would highly recommend.

It's unfortunate I didn't get his name so I can't recommend the particular bartender but whoever he was, he did offer up a delicious bit of paradise in pink. It had vodka, orange juice, triple sec, grenadine (I think) and was wonderful. Nantucket's isn't meant for vegetarians but we had a coupon (thanks, Jim!) so off we went and the salads were delicious. There was nothing on the menu for a vegetarian but the chef was glad to cook up a pasta -- the waiter said it was going to have pesto but it didn't. It did have spinach and lots of tomatoes. It was ok. I would have been happier ordering sides, I'm sure. The spinach was good. I was too full to care about desserts but had a taste of a banana bread a la mode. It was ok but not trying the chocolate, I shouldn't even be commenting about dessert. We had a new waiter who was very eager to please and there was a late night visit from some Mother's Day celebrants who had been drinking up the wine -- it was entertaining as well as filling.

We found this place a few years ago when our family vacation got moved from OC to Fenwick. Now we make a visit every time we are in the area. Quaint small restaurant atmosphere, very good service and great food. Definitely worth the drive up if you are in OC.

Sit in the bar and order the steak salad. For $15.95, you get a filet on top of greens, vegetables, blue cheese..... It's absolutely fantastic!

Foodies, this is not the restaurant you were looking for. Service was really outstanding, but the food fell short. Odd combination of flavors and textures, just didn't cut it. The smaller appetizer dishes were quite good, but entrees were all a let down. For apps, we had shrimp/grits, Prussian oysters, and the special scallops with bacon and tomato. All were pretty good, but sometimes some odd notes in the sauces. Things got worse with the filet mignon, with the worst gloppy blue cheese sauce on top and weird "glaze" on bottom. Pasta dish was gritty from spinach not very well cleaned. Nice wine helped, along with tasty desserts.

Went at the last minute for dinner and as usual we had a great meal and great service. The crab cakes are fantastic and the rock fish was cooked perfectly. The dessert was a banana fosters bread pudding Ala mode and was superb. Definitely worth the trip.

I have dined at some of the best places in the DC area down to Delaware sea shore. Growing up with the bay, I know Chesapeake Bay seafood like the back of my hand. Consistency is the key in any restaurant, and they have that hands down. This restaurant will knock your socks off. The owners Janet and David apparently really care about their business, You will notice the minute you walk in that they put a lot of energy into the atmosphere and food they serve. It's evident from the quality of the food, the interesting and ever changing decor in the bar, and the attention to detail put into just about everything. They recently installed solar and wind power on the property, being good stewards to the earth that serves their kitchen. The duck entree is one of my favorite dishes, it has a blueberry sauce that is out of this world. They also have great oysters. The weekend bartenders that have been there the last few times I was down, although they seem like great guys, lack outgoing personalities. They appear standoffish to new or unfamiliar patrons, they don't smile enough and this might rub you wrong at first. This might be hurting their business some. But don't let this discourage you. The dining side of the restaurant is fantastic, great ambiance and a perfect spot for a fine dining experience with the family. If you haven't been, go. If you had a bad experience, go back and try again. I promise you will want to come back.

I have found most maryland/de restaurants to be quite lacking, but the food and service here is worth the evening. I had roast duck breast and a raw oyster appetizer that were both excellent. The service was excellent and the decor was charming. I will look for this place again when on the shore!

I love this place and always eat in the bar area. It has so much character and the food is great too. But you need to get there early to avoid long waits.

Lovely, lovely. New England Seafood in Delaware. Knowledgable caring wait staff. Great recipes. Nice atmosphere. Flowers outside. And a windmill making the electricity for the restaurant. Just perfect.

Great service and food in a relaxing atmosphere. Grouper special was the best grouper I have ever had in a restaurant.

  • Ron B.

  • Gail K.

  • Jeff B.
